What a week! Candidate Alex Balekian has spent the homestretch of his "campaign" for Congress complaining at Glendale City Council meetings, wearing lederhosen, putting up Really Big Signs, and filling out ballots for grandmothers.
While all three activities are legal, they are not the hallmark of a well-organized congressional campaign.
Balekian demanded to have his WHOLE FACE shown on the camera so he could get his VIRAL MOMENT of another tirade against Laura Friedman (can someone tell Alex that she is no longer on Glendale City Council? Does he understand the difference between Congress and City Hall? Help!)
Balekian then compared City Council to "cockroaches" and threatened Brotman, who was the top 2022 vote-getter, with a recall.
In other Glendale extremist news, Ara Najarian's tantrum lawsuit to be mayor was thrown out before it ever really got started, but allegedly cost the City of Glendale $60,000 in legal fees just to complete the legal filings needed to get his case thrown out. At least his lawyer son Alexander Najarian managed to earn some money in this whole embarrassing process.
