Nearly three months after losing her election, Aneta Krpekyan sent out a thank you email to her supporters and then promptly started posting homephobic comments on Glendale Unified's "Happy Pride" Instagram post. She rolled out the favorite hits, including hiding behind "immigrant families have a right to be bigots" and "why can't GUSD raise test scores" (hint: the immigrant kids have to take the standardized tests).
In her long message, Krpekyan doubles down on the insinuation that her loss was due to anything other that more voters voting for the other person. She then logged on to Instagram to rage against Pride.
We hope she has a great summer! Never change, Aneta! You go, girl!
To recap this very long email:
Aneta Krpekyan spent 3 years complaining about GUSD and spreading lies via the social media group she co-founded;
She showed up to lead a violent protest of GUSD;
She plastered Glendale with hundreds of yard signs (including in areas that could not vote for her);
She out-raised her opponent via shady out-of-district contributions, spent it on campaign parties and more yard signs, and barely talked to voters;
She used the one public campaign forum to complain about 'social emotional learning';
In the final three weeks of the campaign, Krpekyan sent documented violent extremists out to knock doors for her instead;
And was mad that she lost to an actual qualified person with local support.
