Former Sheriff Patrick Gipson ran for Congress against Adam Schiff in 2022 and lost. He is now running again for the 40th Assembly District in California. He and his wife, Nune, have appeared at the violent anti-LGBTQ+ protests at Saticoy Elementary, GUSD and at the Dodger Stadium Protest. Van Nuys, Glendale, and Dodger stadium are not part of the 40th Assembly District. Gipson frequently posts about "parents' rights" on social media, though he appears to be trying to appear more centrist while campaigning. Gipson and his wife Nune have also appeared as speakers at an event hosted by anti-public school org P.E.R.K with Narine Tadevosyan. 

Gipson is listed as the Director of Operations for a private security firm, Gadite Security, which currently has a contract with the city of Los Angeles.
