About

about

Alex Balekian

Transphobic gay extremist candidate for United States Congress. Medical doctor with poor patient reviews online and no visible practice. MAGA supporter. Married to James Clarke.

Alex Balekian is a medical doctor who identifies as gay and is married to another man. He is running for U.S. Congress against Laura Friedman in the general election. He has appeared with MAGA extremists like Matt Gaetz and Charlie Kirk, and boasts of attending events at Mar-a-lago.

In his free time, Balekian stars in and produces a podcast and YouTube channel where he shares his transphobic brand of fascism to an audience of hundreds of like-minded fearful bigots. He uses his online platform to promote other extremists, such as Aneta Krpekyan and Jordan Henry.

In college, Balekian wrote for UCLA's Daily Bruin, including a 1997 piece where he complained about having to "let some minority students cut in line ahead of me" (consideration of race in UC admissions were banned in the UC system in 1996, so don't worry, Alex!) and lamented that "In the name of diversity, some talented scholars are denied their hard-earned places in higher institutions." Balekian's bigotry appears to be a key part of his identity.

Not quite the scholar he imagined himself to be, Balekian appears to have a shady record of practicing medicine and is no longer affiliated with Keck/USC. His current practice, "Clarkian Medical" (named for his spouse, perhaps?) has a P.O. Box address that is inside a Fedex franchise and a website full of stock photography.

Now Balekian is running for Congress.
